For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 581 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 581 | Found some bedsides off an AD truck that should fit my '46 3600 . Are they worth the trouble? Sheetmetal sounded and felt sound except for the fender holes and a couple of spots where a PO ripped the whole bolt through. Any thoughts on what a fair price is? I'm trying to avoid the new bedsides $$$. Would I have to move the center pocket or are they the same distance from the front of the cab on both AD and 41-46 3600's. Also are the rear step hangers the same between the trucks. Mine was taken off and I see that this truck has them on yet. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 | I've seen people do it.. there are a few '41 thru '46 trucks in the gallery with AD beds on the back.
I know the stock AD bed is a little wider than the '41-'46 trucks.. don't know about length.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
