The bottom one will come out no problem but the top one seems to be hanging up on the lower spring. Any suggestions? | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 42 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 42 | That's the hinge I'm talkin about by the way. | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 339 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 339 | oldkoot, sounds like maybe You are trying to remove door by taking the hinges with the door.. I found it easier to remove the hinge bolts from the door, then slide the door off the hinges... The spring on the upper hinge is whats hanging stopping You. Remove the door from the hinges than remove the hinges from the truck. Thanks Bill. | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 70 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 70 | The hinges are usually stuck pretty tight to the doors anyway, I think you need them bolted to the truck to have the leverage to pull the hinge out of the door. | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 | had same problem with mine , bolted hinges back to cab and then slid the doors off the hing arms after removing the bolts , they were tough to get to slide off but they did come off ..I think ill just leave teh hinges on the cab for paint . and slidethe doors back on the arms after | | |
