Hi Guys, I'm just in the process of trying to do a passenger door removal on on my 53 1/2 ton. The bottom one will come out no problem but the top one seems to be hanging up on the lower spring. Any suggestions?

oldkoot, sounds like maybe You are trying to
remove door by taking the hinges with the door..
I found it easier to remove the hinge bolts from
the door, then slide the door off the hinges...
The spring on the upper hinge is whats hanging
stopping You. Bill B

The hinges are usually stuck pretty tight to the doors anyway, I think you need them bolted to the truck to have the leverage to pull the hinge out of the door.

had same problem with mine , bolted hinges back to cab and then slid the doors off the hing arms after removing the bolts , they were tough to get to slide off but they did come off ..I think ill just leave teh hinges on the cab for paint . and slidethe doors back on the arms after
