Just picked up the running boards at the Line-X shop today and am very happy with the result. For those interested the price for the pair was $190 including tax. Line-X

I think both of you fellows did a great job...it is very practical.

The fellows who require original paint on their trucks are going to freak out. LOL!

magfarm51 -- there should be no sign-in necessary to view the pix. This hyper link should take you right there. What browser are you using?

Rusty Rod -- What dents and dings? :blat: This stuff is pretty hard and I sure hope it does what I want. I've got it in the bed of my F-250 and throw all kind of stuff at it. Time will tell... and I'll be sure to post the results of this beta testing in the future. I think as long as I don't hit a road gator I should be fine.

Niagara - let'm freak! I want a driver and this seems to be the best way to protect all that pretty paint. ohwell

Who, Me? -- Line-X is primarily a spray-on bed liner, but can be applied to just about any surface. I've seen entire boat trailers done with it.

darn, looking good! I love that stuff, have it in my toyota bed and its was probably one of the best spent things to do.

Like it way better then what the rhino liners look like to, much more uniform. Now it sure looks like that stuff is REAL glossy in your pics, is that new to Line-x or is it just the pics? Mines is real finely grained but I had it done several years ago.

Cool! Jeff

Don,
Looks great!!! I've been following your picture trail and everything you do is top notch! Congrats on the finished product! If you don't need that newly rechromed grill I'll gladly take off of your hand! grin Good luck

The gloss is what it looks like new (obviously the tops are clear coated black paint.) I just had the access panel redone on my F250 tailgate and the difference is quite noticeable. The original has been sitting in the Florida sun for about 18 months and is pretty dull looking.

The grill did turn out nice... Where would you like it sent?

Thanks for the nice comments.

It probably serves as a good sound deadener as well. A good use for that product. Very nice.

So, you only had the undersides of the running boards done? That is a lot of money for not much work. I assumed for 190 you had them done top and bottom, then I looked at the pictures.

I just got a quote for $450 for an entire cab floor and up the firewall. I think that is a lot of money for what it is, but the best deal I have found yet.

On my 48 I am planning to have the undersides of my running boards, and probably the tops. Also the undersides of fenders and cab, as well as the inside cab floor and up the firewall.
I have not gotten a quote for that truck yet.

The primary reason I am going to have it done to my trucks is for the sound deadening (Detroit Diesels are loud). The durability, easy clean up, and rust prevention are an extra plus.

Grigg -- The purist are already having a heart attack because I did the bottom of the running boards. I would probably be banned from the 'Bolt if I had done tops too! I know that the tops are going to get trashed very quickly but I'll deal with that when it comes time.

I paid $300 for the cab bottom for your reference.

Thanks Don and Tony, that last link worked for me...I'm using Explorer.

Those look great. I won't be to that point for a while but I might do the same thing...and maybe even do the top sides as well because it will be driven often.
