From Don :

This is a new (old) addition to my collection of trucks. It's a 1959 GMC 860 single axle truck tractor. It has a 671 Detroit Diesel, 5 speed transmission and a 2 speed differential. It's not restored yet, but in progress.

I live in Pennsylvania and I found the truck on eBay. I was the lucky bidder and had to pick the truck up in New Hampshire.

I also have a 1953 Chev 3100 that I am almost done doing a complete restoration. After that I plan on doing a total restore on the '59 GMC 860.

It has taken a lot of work in just getting the 860 from NH to PA but that's the fun in the love of old trucks.

You all are doing a great job with this site!

.

Thank-you,

Don Nydam

Looks like a great project Don. I know John would love it! You'll have to send us some info on the '53, too! ~ Editor
