Can anyone email me pictures of the original heater units just below the glovebox? I trying to determine if mine is the original but have been unable to find any oictures etc. Thanks!

the set is: factory installed deluxe model, factory installed standard, and dealer installed 'basic', which seems to be the most common

you'll find pics of 3 different styles of TF heaters here - there's a 4th less common style I haven't got pics of up yet - eventually there'll be a 'tech tip' on the TF heaters .... when life allows time

My truck currently doesn't have any dash controls, just a small light in a hole drilled in the heater control delete panel in the dash.

Does one of the models have a set up like this?

I figured it may have been for an aftermarket heater, but now that I know there were four different heaters...

the deluxe version was the only one that had the fancy dash control panel, the others just have a variable resistance switch [hi-med-lo] in that delete plate - the dealer installed seems to mostly have had a lighted plastic knob switch like the one visible upper left here - the factory standard had a knob that matched the other dash knobs, as seen upper left here

I also got a pic up of the 4th 'standard' style, that I think was available 55-57 here - would have the same rotary switch with matching knob - I'd expect yours would match one of those shown as by 57 there wasn't much need to go with 3rd party heaters

agree Fred - I try to make as much info as I can avalable and pics are where it's at ..... and yes, on your last pic, that little tube on your wiper bezels is where the washer hose goes, along with the nozzles [available repro] that go where there's a small slot screw on the outside face

Just to add to what Bill posted above, I had to replace part of the heater control panel in my Cameo, which has the deluxe heater, many years ago and was able to use the parts from a control unit from a 55 Chev car. I can't remember whether the unit interchanges completely, but the guts were identical.
