It depends on the heat treatment. Annealed lines are softer, less prone to cracking when bent, and can be flared if needed.

Follow the directions closely, that will help you get them to make a seal when installing.

The only problem I had was getting them to seal. Had to loosen and tighten a few times and really torque down on the fittings, so much so I was afraid of stripping, breaking them.

Thanks brjr51 - 6 kits w/clips showed up from Fed-X today - early Christmas for a handfull of bolters. We pooled our resources and got 15% off of normal price + shipping for 6 sets was the same for a single set, so I think we did ok.

Pops - all pre-bent, pre-flared with nuts and plastic caps ready to go.

Gee thanks for the heads up on stainless guys.
AND TO KEN, What are the six sets of lines going into? IF there is a 46 truck in the bunch could you or the owener check to see if IN the pass side tube that goes to the frame clip then to wheel and see if there is a rust red powder in it. eek This tube is a very tight bend and is almost a full circle . mine had this powder in it. IM HOPEING that the powder is used to keep the tube from kinking when bent because of the small radius of the bend. Has anyone seen this in any other tubeing bends.

All chevy 3100's ranging from '49 to '53 (pickups and suburbans).

Note - the '49s and '50s have 1/4" lines and the newer trucks have 3/16" lines. Not all are this way so you have to double check.
