It was a bit of delicate surgery working through a small hole but successful. The door is much more stable now and actually closes and opens.
On another note I removed the set screws on the door handles and window cranks but cannot get them off. Before I wreck something does any one have any tricks to remove these??? | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | You say you removed the set screws but if they are not all the way out then they might still be preventing the handles from coming off. Make sure there isn't a second set screw that was underneath the first. Sometimes the top screw is used to jamb the bottom one to keep it tight.

I have soaked with WD 40 but you cannot really soak them except throught the set screw hole.
I dont want to wreck my window regulator or latch release.
Should the handles come off easily once the set screw is removed. All 4 of mine wont budge. I have to admit I thought you were nuts when you said they had an inner and an outer screw. but low and behold you were right. That's not even in the manual.

Just a few seconds before I was about to use some persuasion from the 'blue tipped wrench' I discovered the second set screw.
