Now for the questions. the lid is almost completely rusted away, kinda looks like the lid from a mason jar, but the ones we have don't fit, the diameter of the washer is to large. Next I was wondering how it was hooked up. I have seen reference to the foot pump, but see no evidence of the foot pump in the truck. Would that have operated the vacuum pump? I have a right side mirror that looks nothing like the modified "S" shape in the catalogs, but then again my left side mirror doesn't drop down like most that I see. The right side has a rectangular mirror head and the left side is the round head. Are these correct or something that got picked up along the way? Any help is always appreciated. I would say they all where round from the factory or the dealerships added the rectangular ones for a wider field of view. Anyone chim in if I am wrong.

It has to sit up higher to be viewed from driver's side. I think it will look funny if looking at truck from an agle where both sides could be seen at same time. The washer probably has a foot pump on the floor. If you e-mail me, I have a couple of e-mail addresses of people that sell washer parts but be prepared, they are not cheap. | | |
