Went down to Waterhouse Motors recently to get the inspection results on my GMC 302. The cylinder bores will be clear at 0.030" over and both the mains and rod-ends at 0.010" under. The thrust wear on the crank at the #3 main that I was so worried about was actually cheap to fix ($57.00). They are holding everything while I gather parts. They had a set of NOS rod bearing at a real good price and I've located main and cam bearings, 0.040" over pistons and exhaust valves. Once I got the pistons I checked back with them and damned if they didn’t have three sets of NOS +0.040" rings grin . So if anyone else needs GMC 302 +0.040 rings call them. Just got the intake valves today.

All the parts buying has left my truck fund very lean, so will have to wait a while to start putting things together.

Where did you locate pistons? I need a set of .030 over. I have been shopping around. Got any good leads you can pass my way? Are your pistons stock or hop up parts?
