Someone posted that His tank sounds like it has gravel in it moving around...When I removed My tank
it sounded laike a rock rollong back and forth as I tilted it....I set it aside to get back on the cab
til later...Well, when I am not working on the truck
before bedtime I read on the gas tank that the manufacturer put like a large ball-bearing in the tank for some reason which I have forgotten about..
It was either in the repair manuel, or it was in
the Pickup N Panels magazine, and also the tame of the stovebolt club I was in, then bellied up...
So anyway I left the ball-bearing in the tank yet....Anybody else know of this ??? Bill B

urban legend, if you have a bearing loose in there, someone dropped it in, or some gravel - most likely you have an old sender float, or part of it, or a baffle broken loose

Rattling bearings or rocks in the gas tank can help remove rust. Maybe someone left one in.

I hate when the bearings go out in the tank... They are such a pain in the @ss to replace! grin

Ive never heard of that before but it would make an interesting read.
