When I got it, it had P225-70-R15 on it, but I think they look a little fat. I drive it regularly and I’m not sure I want to go back to bias ply tires. Any thoughts or suggestions? I use the LT because almost every weekend from late Spring to early fall, I pull a 700lb Teardrop Trailer with about 500lb of camping stuff in the bed.
The tire height is 28". They look a little fat but that's ok.

I took them off & put on 2.35-78x15. I think it looks & drives much better but there is a generation gap.

Much more selection, the old 78 series tires just aren't being made much anymore, unless you go to a specialty tire shop or use trailer tires. That size will keep close overall diameter to what you've got, just around 1" narrower.

There are still some of the old 78s still around, mainly from the specialty tire makers like Coker. Actually, we still get alot of people come in for tires and say they have 78s.
BTW-I'm running 30x9.50x15 C load range on the '55.
