Will gmc parts work with a chevy, as long as its the same year?

That depends on the year. From what I was told by a guy that had a 67-72 GMC, they had slightly different front fenders to accomidate the GMC grill.

Some yes, some no. What parts and what years?

Most major body parts interchange over any given body style. Grills and trim and such are often different.

In some models motors are identical, in others they are completely different, and in some cases motors of significantly different design will actually share some parts.

What parts are you interested in?

I have a 65 chevy c10, and a local yard here had a 65 gmc. I am looking at the inner fenders, and the bed.

I'm not really the right person to ask about parts interchangability on a '65, but I'd expect the inner fenders and bed, except the tail gate (with logo) to be the same.
