Happy New Year.

I’m a recently relocated “newbie” stovebolter to northern VA looking for a reputable mechanic/garage that will do quality work on my '52 3100. Without a garage or basement, I need someone that can provide the necessary assistance to help me keep my daily driver up and running. Any recommendations y'all might be able to offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Human,

I'm positioned wrong, globally speaking, to help with that, but Wanted to welcome you to Stovebolt! ...and Happy New Year back at cha.

Welcome to the Stovebolt forum and Happy New year.

How far will you live from Seven Corners?

I used Zolly's in Seven Corners a dozen or so times and was very impressed with thier work and prices.

I have thier number someplace so if that will work for you let me know and I will find it and post it.

Again,welcome.Hobert

Welcome to the Stovebolt Page, Human! And welcome to the Greater DC area!

Be sure to check out the other areas of the web site and please send a picture of your truck, as well as a write up about it, to Peggy for our Gallery -- editor@stovebolt.com

We have several chapters of the American Truck Historical Society in the area -- The Baltimore-Washington Chapter and the Mason-Dixon Chapter. Probably the M-D guys would be able to help you find a good mechanic in the area (if Hobert's place doesn't work out for some reason). When you email your pic/writeup, we can put you in touch with those guys.

Welcome!
John

Hey all,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm a stonesthrow, just west from seven corners between 50 and Lee. I'd appreciate Zolly's phone number. The truck is en route from Cool, Tx so it won't be up here for another couple of weeks. I'll post the pics/write-up when it arrives.

Thanks again

Cool, TX isn't too far from me. Ya gotta love a name like that!

(I think it applies only a few weeks a year, otherwise it is stone-melting HOT or just plain COLD.)

Welcome aboard! There are several old steel owners near to you and if you wait a bit, they will probably get online and also respond. I live in Laurel, MD but my truck is in West Virginia. Sweet (Chris) lives in northern VA as well as TrknGMC (Phillip). They may also be able to assist you. Good luck!

Welcome East! My garage is always availible to another bolter. Might have to move all my 65's parts, but if you ever make your way down to Richmond let me know!

Cosmo here, welcome! What's your drivetrain? What will be your commute for your daily driver? I too am a daily driver and the weekends can be intense to repair before Monday rolls around.

We have a good NVA-MD group here and of course with the Page here will be able to lead you to a variety of choices to keep your bolt going. My inlaws are from the ARKLATEX, just came back from the holidays.
