Took pics of a "custom built" AD crew cab. Appears to have been used by an oil co some years back. I found it when I was 13 years old while out hunting for old liscense plates.
I wonder when the first factory crew cabs were buitl?

Just lookin' at the dash,I'd say it's about a '51 Ford (I used to have a '51 F-5.),but it's still too rare to let it die out there. Grab your trailer and "git'er done!"
Good spottin', dude!

I started wondering if it was an AD after I posted and I think you may be right. Hard to tell with the thing upside down. Theres a tag in the glove box.
Next weekend Im going back to see if I can read it.
I'm in the process of finding the property owner to see if I can remove the truck.

I think I have heard that IHC was the earliest to have a fctory crew cab as regular production. I think there were earlier ones, but they were special jobs.
