I appreciate you taking the time to contact Vintage Truck. I also appreciate Vintage truck posting the article on their site as well as writing it int he first place of course. I might need a new subscription, even if they are a bit pricey, once one of my other magazine subscriptions runs out.

Although I subscribe, its great that Pat and the rest of the folks at Vintage Truck went ahead and put the article online for the folks who didn't see the magazine. Now, all you folks that are not subscribers, dump that subscription to Classic Custom Trucks and subscribe to Vintage Truck today.

I can't believe the quality of the coverstock and photography. I got hooked years ago when I was at a local bookstore and there, amidst the Ladies Home Journals and Newsweeks was a picture of heaven calling to me. It was a late 40s, sky blue, Dodge Power Wagon, with the words "Stillwater Garage" painted on the side. The article was about a kid, growing up when his dad ran the garage. They fixed stuff and rescued people, and now the son has restored the truck. You can keep your celebutants, I'll take a good truck story any day of the week.

Hotshoe36-- If you want, I can send you a copy. I don't think they sell it on the news stand.
After reading that article, I think I might resubscribe. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 267 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 267 | i have found it once earlier this year and thought it was a very good read. i will have to dig it out and read it again. thanks tom

I was in that country-boy toystore called Tractor Supply Co today and took a gander at their magazine rack. Whatta ya know! They had the issue on the rack! Had to buy it. I sent them a email last week to check on it, but no answer. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 | A very good magazine.I have been subscribing for about 3 yrs.I am more into modifying my old trucks, but I really look forward to each new issue of Vintage Truck. They did a real nice article on John and Peg Milliman. This is a magazine I read from front to back every issue. One of these years I want to make it down to their truck show in southern Ohio. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 153 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 153 | Vintage Truck is my favorite magazine! I just wish we could get it every month instead of bi-monthly. Great articles about real trucks and not about show queens. They also have classifieds and minimal advertisements. I've seen it on the newstand at Tractor Supply and major bookstores like Barnes and Nobles. I cancelled my subscription to Classic Trucks after I got sick of articles limited to high dollar "street rods with beds" and tech articles centered around the current editors personal vehicles. 1946 Chevy Half Ton ('56 235, '86 T5, '79 Camaro Z28 rear end, working on the '85 Jaguar XJ6 IFS) 1976 Margay Panther X, MC91B | | |
