I have been searching for a while and I found a collector that may be willing to sell me one of his.

It is only missing a couple bumpers, but the truck is straight, has no rust and is all original.

We reached a deal on the price of $2000 Cdn, do you think this sounds about right? Or is it too high?

The truck is a 3/4 ton long box right now, I plan on shortening the box when I retro it.

thanks
az

Sounds pretty decent for the money. I am in the process of paying off a 51 3/4 ton Chevy. The owner & I agreed upon $1700, pretty much the same condition. He was also asking $2000. So, I think you are right in the ballpark. By the way, I have the same plans for this truck as you do yours.

A completely stripped cab without doors is worth that much if it truly has no rust.

Question. Out of curiosity why would you want to go to the trouble of shortening the 3/4 ton? I think they look fine as they are. Probably more rare too.

I second that, olblu. Keeping mine long and lean...

Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice)
\'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run.
My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787.

Knowledge is a wonderful thing, but ignorance means you don't know you can't do something.
