Well, tomorrow is my birthday and so today I go out and get the mail. In the mail is my copy of Vintage truck, Cool! Well even cooler (Coolamudo for you old timers) was the story of the stoveboltpage!

For those of you that still remember me ( I know you all are getting older and forgetfull) I am still around and kicking. Been working hard for the last 7 or 8 months at a new job that I love. Haven't had too much time to get on line or work on my truck.

One quick note to Peggy, John, Paul and all the other bolters that make this place happen, THANK YOU! May the coming holidays be Merry and the new year filled with Happiness!

Well Brian! Glad to hear from you and happy birthday.

We just got a box of the VT mags from Tom (our subscription issue hasn't come yet) and it was really neat to see the story in there. Sorry they didn't mention Larry Bear and his wife with the story (or at least the cut line for the picture). But, yea, that was a nice surprise.

And for those of you who have not been around as long as Brian ... when we first started The Stovebolt Page, John wrote a Letter to the Editor of This Old Truck (now VT) and talked about how this new fangled cyber-craziness known as the Internet could actually be a help to us old truck nuts. Of course, there were some opposing views at the time ( grin ) BUTTTTTT ... looks like it's been a pretty good thing after all. Still room for all means of communication, that's for sure.

Brian, hope you and your beautiful family have a wonderful Christmas, too. I'm sure you're staying busy with the CF stuff. Give that sweet little girl a big hug for us.

(And for those of you who don't know Brian, come read from the news page -- Tools for Cure . We were happy to be part of this!

Our best,
John and Peg

I doubt we can run a copy of the article just yet. I don't know if Vintage Truck is sold by individual issues. You can check it out.

Perhaps once some time has past, Pat Ertel will let us run a copy of it. It would be a good link back to his magazine.

We'll see what we can find out ... once we get our computer woo's under control.

For those of you that are wondering about Tools for a Cure.... Well last year we just didn't get enough donations (tool supplier donation) to make it happen. This year we have decided to take a break from the Fund raising for CF to spend more time enjoying our family.

Tools for a Cure is my baby and I look forward to seeing it Grow to something very special in the future.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
