Is there a good replacement (stock) available out there? Has anyone had their tank restored with a product call Renu? My stock tank straps were missing, are there replacements available for those as well? Any comments are welcome. I'm thinking of trying JB Weld on the pinholes and sealing with a Tank sealer from Jim Carter. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 | You can clean the tank, braze the holes shut and coat the inside. If the holes are pinholes the coating will plug them without brazing. Follow the coating manufacturer's instructions exactly. The coating will probably fail if you don't. I prefer RedKote coating. If you use the search function at the top of the page you'll find a ton of info on cleaning and coating your tank.

Fumblin46 used it and it worked like a champ. | | |
