Rebuild project moving along slowly---
This might be a dumb question --- I had the back end up on jack stands, with wheels free. I started the engine, 4 speed manual in neutral. Idling smooth, the drive shaft spins one of the rear wheel slowly. This seems odd to me --- what's up?

Internal friction in the trans. is the answer, it is nothing to worry about, it is perfectly normal.

gear oil is sticky, so it rotates other trans parts, thicker the oil the more resistance it has. Thats why the new manual transmissions use 10wt or 30wt oil nowadays. (mechanics refill them with 30wt non detergent)
