Just use a bolt in the center? Anyone have any advice?

The grill bars are not the same size and can not be interchanged on the same grill. Top to bottom they are smallest to largest.

The numbers are one through five and stamped on one edge. Pop rivets will probably work fine. 20 years ago I removed all my bars and reassembled them with small machine bolts and nuts. It is still holding together just fine. Yes, the bars are all different lengths as noted above.

If the clip is completely installed, it's like doing a grill R&R due to accident damage. All the screws and bolts are accessible (taking out the upper pan is helpful).

Many pop rivets are aluminum. You put aluminim next to steel and add a little moisture you get electrolysis and it will eat up the parts. | | |
