We got this email yesterday and we asked permission from Haggerty to post it here. Just got the okay. John filled out the survey for us last night. Pretty good questions.

If any of you all win, you'll have to let us know.

Here's the scoop:

The fifth annual Hagerty Online Hobby Survey Sweepstakes is here, and we’re giving away two tickets to Richard Petty Driving Experience again – the “Experience of a Lifetime” option. This experience includes 30 laps of heart-racing speed on one of the various tracks across the United States. There’s nothing to buy, results are confidential, and the entire online survey takes about 12 minutes. Take the survey now!

Share Your Experiences With Fellow Hobbyists
The survey covers topics like collector car use, driving habits and lifestyle interests. Have you bought or sold a collector car recently? Do you work on your own vehicles? What other hobbies interest you? You can help other hobbyists by sharing your experiences and advice. More than 8,000 enthusiasts participated in last year’s survey.

What’s In It For You?
In addition to being registered to win two tickets for the Experience of a Lifetime with Richard Petty Driving Experience, you’ll benefit from the collective experiences of other enthusiasts across the country. You may even be surprised with your own answers. We’ll compile the results and publish them on our website for availability 24/7.

The Richard Petty Driving Experience

Your participation will take only about 12 minutes, and it could lead to an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for participating in this year’s Hobby Survey and good luck!

Sincerely,
Hagerty

Be prepared, one of the questions was something about having a vintage vehicle re-made, which one would you like done. That's a hard call. But interesting question!

There is no free lunch, or free driving experience, there will be a price to pay, probably in spam e-mail or phone calls and besides if I didn't win I'd know it was fixed.

It took John about 20 minutes to fill out. We haven't had any increase in spam.

We use Firefox for our mail program and it has a really good "junk" box that takes out the garbage. You still have a chance to look in that file before it dumps it in case it took something that wasn't really spam.

It's been real helpful.

I would have thought that Stovebolt would have made a deal with Haggerty to NOT sell this info to the spamers. If not, shame on you. frown

I filled out the survey, but didn't put any contact information... it looked like it went through anyway, I just wasn't entered in the contest.

Maybe it'll give them some good information to better provide services to us old vehicle people.

Hagerty has had my email address for over a year and I haven't noticed any extra spam. It does take a heck of a lot longer than 12 minutes.
