ok i have a 1951 chevy 3800 1 ton.. it used to be a wrecker the owner befor me took the the boom off soo i was told and the side of the truck had richards import towing ct.. any ways to get to the point its a single wheel with a reneforcedes bed i have never seen a 3800 series 1 ton wrecker maybe some ideas,. or if any one has pics of one idd very much apreictate it here are some pics

No pix of the rear, I see. I suspect that truck started life as a sister to mine, and that the back of the box was bobbed to accomodate a homebuilt wrecker. Check my link below.

see i though that at first but if u look on one of the pics there is a circle thing attached to the bed on the drivers side that was a oem lightbuld holder it held extra lights i guess

Ernest Holmes Wrecker Co., had a Unit they called the "Holmes Jr". It was a wrecker unit that was usually mounted in 3/4, & 1 ton pickup beds. I have literature on these units, but have no way to scan them.I'll see if I can find something on-line, & post it for you.

by the way u have some pretty big dog bolts..i wish mine was still a wrecker..im gonna restore mine to back to a wreck are aleast back to bigdog
