I have a 66 C-10 fleetside with white bumpers and grill but the front bumper bolts are chrome. Could this have been original. If not, Is there any way to tell which one was the original? Chrome or white? Thanks for the help.

The '60-'66 Chevy trucks came with painted grille and front/rear bumpers from the factory. Additionally, rear bumpers, painted or chrome were a factory or dealer option. If your truck came from the factory or dealer with chrome (anodized aluminum) grille and chrome front/rear bumpers, they would be listed as an option on the sticker on the inside back or the glove box door or on a option list between the foam and springs in the seat back behind the driver's side.

Factory painted front bumpers came from the factory with painted to match bumper bolts with carriage heads. If the front bumper was chrome from the factory, it will have carriage bolts with a polished stainless caps.

I hope this information is helpful.

Just like 66/Stepside said, my truck was the same way. Looks odd, but that is the way it was.
