For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 40 Member | | Member Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 40 | 52 Chevy 3600....all original. Headliner is not broken, but is sagging in the front center. No holes in the roof. After sitting in rain, the headliner is very damp,in about a 12" circle and you can see the water line where this has been happening for awhile. It's the original headliner and not broken...yet. Where do y'all reckon this dampness/wetnees is coming from. Truck is sitting in the driveway when this happens so it's not blowing thru the windshield rubber. Can't quite figger it out. The old gasket was retaining water from rain or washing, then when driving air pressure forced the water in. The angled windshields forces the water in at the top. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 19 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 19 | Hello, my 54 has a similar prob. I found out it was condensation forming on the inside of the metal roof. My roof is now bare metal, so I my plan is to insuluate the entire roof, then put in the new headliner. If I were you I'd get on it, becuase I left mine go for a while and now i have rust bubbles on the inside of the cab from the condensation. Hope this helps you.
