I would like to do it but I have concern with heat induced dimensional issues.
I understand that epoxy paint is good for this application but I desire a clear coat. Is there any such thing as clear epoxy paint?
Thanks for your help.

I have glass beaded my Rochester "B" carbs and the clear works fine, they still look like new carbs. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 128 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 128 | I've had good luck powder coating carbs. I've only done two though. An old Rochester 1 barrel, and a Holley 4 bbl. The porosity of the castings will give you fits though. It holds all sorts of contaminents and will bubble and blister the powder coat. It took two tries on the main body of the Rochester to get acceptable results. The prep on the first failed attempt was, media blast the carb, clean with metal prep, prebake, reblast, reclean and coat. After blasting the powder coat back off, I repeated the above steps and achieved good results. An awful lot of work for an old carb. I think I would follow chevman32's advice.
