Just wondering if anyone has a contact at stockton wheel in california. I have two sets of original split rims that i want to have made into one piece rims, but when i call, they act like they dont know what im talking about. E-mailed them also with no reply.Anyone had this done?

Never dealt with them, but do a search on this site for Stockton and you'll get an idea of what other people feel about their customer service.

I would check with some of the hotrod shops in your area. They will know where to get custom wheel work done.

If you have good fabracation skills, or know of a good custom fab shop, go to the HAMB web site. There are some post there in their tech section on changing wheel centers.

There are a couple of other wheel builders in California, look in some of the hotrod mags and you will see their adds.

I have heard nothing by sad stories about Stocton Wheels.

I used Stockton Wheel to make custom steel wheels for my '59 Apache 31 about 2 years ago.

Pro: the wheels are exactly what I wanted and I'm very happy with them.

Con: it took them forever (months) to get it done. I had to make a few calls to get them to finish the job.

there are threads here on the 'bolt... and an even longer one over on the jalopyjournal.com forum... the "hamb" they call their forum... about no customer service, quality issues... etc..

I'd be very wary about dealing with them myself.

Save the aggravation and have it done somewhere else.
I had some made, they made the backspacing 1" less than what I asked for, even had what I requested on the receipt. Would not make it right. Also took about 6 months, they said it would be only 1 month. Otherwise a good job.

I've had the same experience with them as LT and Grigg. My wheels turned out great. But...they said initially it would take 4 -6 weeks and it ended up taking more than 4 months.
