I think it would be cool if I could stop by and check out your 58. Mine's still at the paint shop (the guy's as slow as molasses, but he does very nice work from what I've seen and heard); so, I won't be driving it this time. I'll send you a PM. I know that it's a couple of weeks away, but I could bring my shop manual with me, if you don't already have one  .

The parking brake system has a pivoting lever half-way back that hooks into a notch on the frame on one end and connects to the parking brake cable from the front on the other end. In the middle of that lever is an attachment link that holds two adjustable links that run to each rear brake cable. The cables, of course, run inside the brake drum and connect to the bottom of the parking brake expander.
