Hi All,

I have been collecting information on the pre 1960 Chevrolet Cars and Trucks for over 5 years and putting onto the
Old Online Chevy Manuals site.

One of the parts of the project I would like to finish is getting all the Restoration Packages for the Chevy Trucks online. The years I am missing are: 1947, 1948, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 & 1960.

Also trying to get the Owner\'s/Operator\'s Manuals for every year from 1929 - 1960 with the exception of 1952 & 1955 Second Series. Recently purchased the 1951 Owner's Manual.

If you have any of the above listed resto-packs or manuals and can scan the pages for the site, please contact me. chevymanuals@yahoo.com I would prefer scans of 200 to 300 dpi in gray scale (unless the page is in color) .jpg format. I can do all the editing of the original page images for the site. The Owner's Manuals are small enough (usually 70 or less pages) the staples can be easily removed and a good scan of each page can be made on a flatbed scanner and then reassembled.

The Old Online Chevy Manuals is FREE for anyone to use and is for the research and to promote the preservation of these fine old vehicles.

Any help with the site is always Greatly Appreciated!

I've got a 1950 chevy truck operator's manual, a Chevrolet Accessories Installation manual for 1950 pass cars and trucks, and a few other gems that i'd love for you to put on your website if only i was smart enough to figure out how to get them into the computer!

Ok, have one response for the 1956 Resto-Pack for the Trucks that can be scanned. Have my fingers crossed others will be able to help provide some more for the site.

Would you be interested in any dealer literature? I have a truck brochure from either 48 or 49, no date in it, but can tell from the trucks pictured. It is 48 pages, about 10 inch by 8 inch.

An update...

Received "Brian's" scanned literature and hope to have it online soon.

So far I have two guys that will scan the 1948 and 1956 Resto-Packs for Trucks and the 1948 Truck Owner's Manual. Hopefully some others can come through with some of the missing Resto-Packs and Owner's Manuals for the Old Online Chevy Manuals

Just uploaded the an old Chevy Truck Models Sales Brochure from Brian and I'm not sure what year these are for... Maybe 1948?

Truck Models Brochure This is in Adobe Reader (.pdf) format and about 20.5mb. This is until I have time to format into regular web pages.

That is awesome. Brian, it is from 1948. If you look at the sedan delivery on page 12, it is definitely a '48 model.

I agree. Also, on page 22, it brags of the 3 speed shifter lever now being on the column and that is a "new" feature. Which occured in 48.

I got the 47 retro pac, but i dont know enough to scan it on my computer. Maybe I could just send you a copy and you could do it.

Keith, I keep getting a "Forbidden" page when trying to access your site.

I noticed the site was down this morning about 9am. When this has happened before, it was for only a few hours. I'll try contacting Rusty of the Old Car Manual Project which hosts the site and see if he knows anything.

I keep getting 403 Forbidden Error when trying to got on too.

I have the 1954 truck resto pack, most of a 54 owners manual and possibly a 55 owners manual. Be patient and I will get it to you.
