| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 | Got a "spoof" email from ebaymember. It looked like something ebay had sent me. Anyway, it had a lot of links, and even took me to what looked like an ebay signin page. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! There are several scams out there that try to get your account numbers and passwords. If you get an email like that, do not click on anything, as it will not redirect you to the "real" ebay.

I feel that with all the warnings and news about people getting scammed, that if a person was to get scammed, they probably dont need to keep their money anyway.

She emailed ebay and let them know that she had not authorized her email addy to be changed, etc... so they went in and cleaned it up and restored the account to her... but it was a big aggravation. There is a certain URL that all ebay sign in's happen on... if it isn't listed exactly that way, then something is up.
