#3652336. Otherwise, the installation is exactly the same. That change was done only in 54, so in order to make it work, you need the early differential. So, on my luckiest day I find an earlier differential with the Patricks pinion change already installed but need to have it shipped over here. Am I right to think that all I need to do is swap in that third member for my own to make it work? What about hooking up to my existing torque tube and axles?

Am I correct to assume that since you have a 54 that you cannot simply swap the entire rear drive line "T" (axles, torque tube, etc) ?. If you can, then why not go that direction ? Is it because of the additional freight to ship an intact complete rear driveline ?

But thinking about it, maybe somewhat broken down it could still all fit on a pallet. I am not sure how long the longest part would be. The extra weight would be negligable on the shipping bill. Size would hurt.
Still hoping to hear from the experts on this forum. But will contact Patrick's again on Monday to get the skinny.

Obviously the torque tube would be the governor as far as dimensions go, but who knows how much an entire driveline weighs ????

I found an earlier rear end with the Patrick's kit already installed. My question is, should I have only the third member shipped to me and install it to my own axles and torque tube, or should I have more shipped over because it wouldn't simply bolt up to mine.
The thing is, its all in good shape on mine and I want to ship as little as possible.
