Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 482 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 482 | Breakfast with the Chevy club members paid off today when Jim Karras let me drive his fully restored '59 Apache 3200. (look for his website. It's very cool). All original except he updated with power steering and brakes. I happen to think the whitewalls look very excellent with those beatiful white hubcaps. They are radial tires. The thing handles and rides like a dream. He wanted to demonstrate to me how much torque the Thriftmaster 6 cyl has. The acceleration curve is real steep, then flattens. Very special truck for any of you who are lucky enough to own one. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Yeah, them 6's have awesome torque. Mine will take off in 3rd from a dead stop, it don't like it, but it'll do it.
