Clean work, clear photographs cool

Is he keeping the points or switching to electronic ignition? Can't tell since the Petronix brand fits right into the original distributor.

I like the over-flow for the radiator too and the fuel filter (that is what is is, isn't it?).

Thanks for letting us see. Your dad's truck is cool too smile

Is that a Chevy Duty harness? It looks like the one I put in my truck last year. (Or was it the year before that?) I was satisfied with the quality...
Wiring job looks good!

Pop was an electrician at a GM plant for many many years so he takes wiring stuff seriously(I get that from him, I usually over do stuff likethat)... but then he did it for so long he can only do it the right way. grin

I think he did buy the harness from chevy duty last year sometime.

MexicoSab - so far it is the '57 235 distributor with the points and stuff.

You can go to Google and get Picasa. It will arrange your pictures for you into a web-style layout. My link has a couple Picasa-made layouts.

yeah... but I know how to do the html thing, just haven't done it yet... I'm used to just uploading stuff via FTP to my webspace.

However, I have been playing with a picasa web album...

Ick... crimp-on connectors.

This may not go over well with some, but it is just my opinion.

Solder and heat-shrink those suckers! Much, much stronger, weatherproof, and they'll last forever.

I've also grown pretty fond of Liquid Electrical Tape (most auto parts retailers will carry the stuff). It's available in a variety of colors and you can use it to insulate and protect just about any type and shape of connection. Like those open-to-anything, bolt-on connectors. Just one catch; it takes several hours to set up.

If a 'truck' is only used to haul butts to the mall, then it's not a truck - it's a car with a roadster trunk.

Old, rusty and ugly - might be me or my fleet. You decide!

1953 chevrolet 3100 series stepside truck - wires, tail lights, etc..

Pop went to test everything... but the battery was dead... of course. hah!

Anyhoos... now he is waiting on American Classic to get the new headlight assemblies in... and shipped out to him.

I'm getting excited, once the lights are working, he can get the exhaust done from the headers back, and it'll be legal! Woo hoo.
