#21029 10/19/2003 8:30 PM | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 224 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2003 Posts: 224 | okay so i think i bled the brakes right on my truck. what ive noticed tho is that when i push down on the pedal, it slowly sinks about halfway down till it gets hard. but once i release and push down again, i only have to go about a quarter of the way down before it gets hard.
i pretty much have to pump it 3 or 4 times in order to get the pedal to go hard in less of a distance on the pedal. i havent driven it yet, i still have to do the electrical work, but i was just curious if this sounds like something normal? any of this sound familiar to anyone? | | |

Air will compress, brake fluid will not. Bleed'em again. Start with the wheel cylinder furthest away from your master cylinder and work to the closest. | | |

The old guy who told me how to adjust them was to " adjust them so that you have about a five pound of sugar of resistance when you spin the wheel". I thought he was nuts, but he was dead on. This guy use to build GMC trucks in the 30's to the 50's, so he knows what he talking about. | | |
