Hi TPYLE
Well, something that I have seen before!! (I think)
Was it a genuine GM Accessory? I am not sure if I have seen one of them.
but...
I do know they were available for cars and trucks as kind of "universal" or "fits all" accessories from various companies.

I've seen 'em before and had one I used on a '49 Chevy sedan for a while.
It'll work fine provided you have all the mounts tightly secured and your bumper is also mounted tightly. They're not good for much tongue weight, but they work fine for a small utility trailer or a relatively small boat. Be sure to connect your safety chains to the frame or at least a bumper bracket, not the hitch.
