Hi,

The choke cable on my 66/292/Rochester 1bbl needs replaced. NAPA has one that looks like it will work. However, I'd prefer to have the original knob showing. Just underneath the knob on the existing cable, I can see a 'Flat' on the shaft. I would guess that this would continue into the knob but that wouldn't provide a good connection for pushing/pulling that the choke would need. Does it switch to threads, and does anyone know if the knobs on the generic NAPA ones screw on too. If so, do they have the same threads? Thanks. smile

Rance

Well, I got brave and unscrewed the knob on my cable. I believe the FLAT in the shafe is for holding it with pliers so you can screw the knob off & on. It looks like I can get one locally at NAPA for not much. AD, I think I'll probably just do that. Thanks anyways for the offer.
