hey all,

will a flywheel off a 250 fit a 292? i'm sure i've read somewhere the answer, but i just don't remember.

my dad is putting a sm420 from a 250, behind his 292 to replace the th350.

thanks in advance.

Hi Sam, have a look in the driveline shop or do a search and if nothing is there, ask/mail one of the guys there, they might not check the Bolt daily. I found this ; http://www.stovebolt.com/bboard/cgi-bin//ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=011318#000000 it's getting close, but not what you asked, but he might know.

Good luck

Yes. If the 292 is a real early model it will fit right on. Later models have larger bolts. Run a 1/2 in. drill bit though the holes in the flywheel & it will fit .Get 292 flywheel bolts. Be shure & put a pilot brg./bushing in also.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
