What kind of wheels came on a 51 3/4 ton pick up? Are they spilt rims? They are 8 lug hubs. What are the options for changing to a more conventional hub? I want to put a fancy set of wheels on it but I am sure no one has them! I don't want to got the IFS route because of money and I am hoping there are hubs that will fit the spindle with a more conventional pattern. I plan to change the rear end so that isn't a problem. What do you think?

wheels or with 17" as an option. 8 lug pattern
should be the same up to late 90's ? when they
went to metric pattern.
Some newer wheels will cause a clearance problem with the front tie rod that you should be careful of because of the offset and width.

Rick | | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 58 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 58 | From what I've found and if I am wrong, I am sure I will be corrected. 3/4 ton trucks came with the 15" 8 lug wheels, and the 17" 8 lug wheels that were mentioned were more on the 1 ton 3800 series pickups. At least that is the way they came on all the trucks I have dealt with.
