It all ready has 1 1/2 inch blocks under it now. The axle is above the springs. I have 7 leaf springs on each side. Can one take a few leaf out of spring and what else does one do. I would like to drop it about 4 inches

This can be accomplished several ways. I am unfamiliar with doing this on leaf springs. Perhaps the frame will have to be Z'd to get the drop you want. I found good results using air bags. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 | I got a 4" total drop from "factory stock" in the rear of my '49 1/2 ton with 3" lowered leaf springs and 1" +/- from the conversion kit (to open driveline). I did not need to notch the frame. To be honest though, the "lowered" leaf springs raised the rear end an inch from the old sagging spring. Gazim is right though if you are wanting something more extreme.
