I have to tell this...Fri I picked up a 54 1/2 ton from a tractor salvage yard in centeral Iowa and as I was leaving this gent stopped me in the road and asked if I was interested in some old trucks,,yes I said so off we went into an old junk yard (I mean junk!!!) what he had for pickups didnot interest me,,but what I found did,,low and behold there were GMC,s all over the place I looked at 3 GMC 302,s and 2 GMC 270,s..One was in a shed came out of a 6 by looked new the others were still in old grain trucks..I looked at 3 or 4 that were out but sitting outside and not covered so condition of them is unknown I would say maybe junk..He did not want to sell just engines from the trucks and wouldn,t price others but I will keep in touch with him and see what happens...doc
