| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 197 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 197 | In cleaning up my single action shocks ('40 GMC) the book says to replace the lead gaskets around the drain plug, as I call it, with new. Lead has become such a no-no, unless you're a fisherman, that it's almost impossible to find it anywhere. Can I just use regular gasket material on these or will they become saturated and start leaking?

I didn't know they made copper cruch washers. Where can you find them?
