The casting on my block 838710 crosses out to a 1938 block. The serial number located on the milled surfaced next to the distributer is I577549. I am unable to cross-reference the I577549 to find out this information. Does anyone know if the I in front of the number represents a number, letter, or a roman numeral? Does anyone know if this is the right motor for my truck? So a 1577549 (thats a ONE not an 'eye') would fit in the '38 range according to the inliners.org website
