can you still buy those big red stop lights, that spell out STOP like in the old days? have not seen any in a long time, might want to try some out..Fred

I'm kind of thinking that if someone behind you doesn't understand the concept of brake lights then they probably can't read "stop" : )

I remember them as being mounted in the center of larger trucks, under the bed. Maybe they were retrofits?
I remember them having a round metal housing and the word "STOP" stenciled on the lens, similar to some of those on eBay.
I always thought they were cool. Granted, as a practical matter, no one is going to read the word "STOP" and then decide to obey. But they are a nice nostalgic reminder of another time in my life. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 41 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 41 | My 46 2 ton has an arm with reflectors that is controled by cable and a lever with notches above the drivers window. When you put it in the first notch, it simulates a left turn hand signal and second notch, a right turn. It's pretty cool, but not sure many people know what a hand signal means anymore, heck, half the drivers I see don't even use thier signal lights!
