Does anyone know the spline count on AD trucks?

Does anyone have a link to a website that would have a chevrolet GM reference point for this question.

The reason I ask is that I have a 57 chevrolet steering wheel from a car and a 62 impala wheel and wondered if they are the same spline count as my 53 and 54.

It would also be interesting to know what other vehicles shared the spline count as my/our trucks as it's swap meet season and steering wheels are a cool easy way to "customize" our trucks that can be easily reversed. The purists could have a really wild time with this information. Go crazy folks.

As a test, I stuck a '54 truck steering wheel on a mid-'70s column one time at the junkyard. The wheel was too thick, but the splines matched up. GM seemed to keep them pretty standard.

After posting this I eyeballed the ones I have with me now.

Original 47-53 wheel and a 57 chevy wheel. It's hard to count them especially when they are worn slightly. I marked one "tooth" with a silver marker and counted half then doubled. They both came out the same 36. I had to use a magnifying glass so I'm not gauranteeing accuracy.

From just down Hwy. 63 - do you know where I could find an early '70s van tilt column with no key around here...cheap? I don't care if it's an auto column, I can fix that.

I used to run a 64 Chevelle wheel on my 53 GMC.GM's splines are pretty universal,until you get into the front drives and metrics. with a little mixing and matching you can even make the horn and turn signal self-cancel work.
Speed

I put a mid-70s Chevy P/U steering wheel on my '59 Apache. It slid right on and is a couple of inches smaller in diameter. Works great!
