It is unbolted and just sitting on the frame without the seats or doors. How many people am I going to need to get this thing off?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is step 1 in the beginning of a LONG restoration. Thanks!

Put a 4X4 thru the cab, hook a chain around both ends and use a chain hoist. Made a dolly out of 4X4 on old cast iron casters. Roll it all around the shop easily.

He is 6'3" and I am no light weight either. With two it was very hard. I would recommend 3 or 4 if you can get them. I ratcheted it up by myself and rolled the chassis out to the driveway. Then I set it down on a cab dolly and drank all the beer myself.

And do not think you can remove the column from the steering box. You need to remove the steering wheel, and column shifter if you have one, and unbolt the box from the frame rail and then remove the box and column as a unit. But if you remove everything from the cab, it is not all that heavy. Any way I know i can lift 200-250 pounds of truck at least for a minute, but if you have a device to move it around you are much better off. I used a cherry picker and four motorcycle straps. It takes a couple of tries to get it to lift level but only takes a few minutes. My picker has 4 casters on it too which helps when going back together. When I had it up in the air like that it was amazingly stable. I rolled the crane around on my rough driveway and it never tilted, I was pretty carefull to make sure I was at the center of gravity front to back and side to side.
