well. i finally got around to posting some pics of my '69 K20. 292, sm465, etc etc etc.

its not glamorous, but, thats alright. she'll clean up real nice.

now just to get some resized pics posted.

This is how it all began.

Stripped and ready for the \'67 front clip.

6 in a row to make it GO.

The cockpit.

Replaced cab corners and rockers.

Some mad arc welding skills ... lol

Kind of like me -- patched, ugly, prolly not right, but effective!

sorry if this slowed down the server and all that. i tried to resize them as best as i could. just thought you guys would like to see whats been happening.

I stripped the front end down in one weekend, so, progress is quite smooth so far.

Plans you might ask? well. mostly stock. '67 front clip. keeping the 292, with headers and either 3x1 offy or 2x2 custom. 33-ish tires on 16.5 rims. stock gears for now. hoping to convert the sm465 tailshaft to a 3 speed OD tailshaft..but..thats WAY up in the air. lets get it on the road first, eh? hoping to have her done for my senior Prom, or Graduation at the latest. but, thats alot of finger crossing. and who can turn a wrench with their fingers crossed? :p

thanks again for everything guys. this site has been indespensible for me, on my stovebolt quest. and at 18, i have a bright, rusty future ahead of me. and i wouldn't have it any other way.

thanks again.

cool project, i think that you are going to have a very enviable truck when you get done with it. i like that you are going to keep the 6. if you are gonna lift it i would suggest superlift soft ride springs, they are awesome. i would also suggest this site:

www.offroaddesign.com

they make some great suspension parts, check out their rear shackle flip kit. works great on my buddies big chevy, easy lift for the rear. i really like your truck and i think that you are on the right track. good luck.

Knox, i don't really plan on lifting it. i'm going for the, as cliche as it sounds, "rat rod" style truck. it just happened to be 3/4 ton and have 4wd for all purpose duty. including some mild street running.

not sure about paint yet. black w/ red? who knows..

thanks for the nice things said!
