Last year a friend gave me 50 Christmas cards with an old Chevy truck (green) pictured on the card. Don't know where he got them, but I could use a "pointer" or link where one would find such items. I am not good at digital photography yet, and my truck is not restored at this point. I liked the card - just can't remember where he got them. He doesn't either!

This is about the only thing I could find that didn't have a Ford on it, when I was looking.

http://www.truckcards.com/

There's some nice ones out there, but most are hot-rods, or as I said, they have Fords rather than Chevy's.

Wish I'd found one of these before I ordered mine.

I agree with you on the Merry Christmas...

But then I'm sure there'd be some Politically Correct controversy that would result.

Which takes me back to why I didn't buy anything other than what I did... and dog-gone it if it aint gotta Ford on it.

The way I figure, most of the people the wife sends XMas cards to, know we've got old trucks, but wouldn't know the difference between an AD and a Renault.

and why does the mfgr have to put "Merry Christmas" on it? you guys don't know how to write? grin

they usually have quite a patch of blank space inside that you can put anything you like, based on your preferences and those of the person you're sending the card to - even a few words you thunk up yersef to give it that personal touch!

Use the same logic on "Happy Birthday" cards, or every other card, for that matter. Leave them all devoid of greeting. You can write, right?

See how ridiculous it's become in our sanitary PC world?

We sent some Christmas cards last year showing the back end of a green Chevy AD. They were from Current. I looked and they are still in their catalog at http://currentcatalog.com/

A card like that would be quite appropriate to send to ALL my friends - to wish them well during this season, no matter how they celebrate (Christians, Jews, Panthiests, Jews, Druids, and Athiests). None of my friends would take offense or feel left out of our annual good wishes for them and for the world (they are secure in their religious beliefs and they respect the beliefs of others).

By the way, this posting is not a flame - it attacks no one.

The color of that pickup is the same as ours (wrong bed, though). That card would be no use to us next year - the \'54 Pickup goes for sale on eBay in the Spring.

We got our tree this morning and I think this <img src="http://pic19.pict...ail.com"]www.picturetrail.com" />[/url]shot would make a great Xmas card. Gotta play with Photoshop tonight.

For a while, Bill "Christmas is under attack" O'Rielly's ornament in the Fox News online shop was listed as a "holiday" ornament. About fell off the couch laughing at that.

I love that Chevy truck card - too bad it wasn't a GMC! :p

TCLederman,

Thanks for posting that picture. It took me a while to find it in the current link Pete put in his post.

That would be a neat card, and as you said, cover all bases.

Did anyone else notice the strange way they have the taillights in that pic.? Sideways!

Shipwright... Neat picture. Now get out there and shovel the walks!

How about "Happy Non Denominational Holiday Season, I hope you enjoy your truck". Would that satisfy the politically correct civil liberty advocates?

Outside of a few screaming TV pundits, who really has a problem with "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings?" I have 40 year old decorations with those two phrases...
