#19437 11/07/2002 5:18 AM | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 | I do not recall if the spindles are the same diameter.If no one gives and educated/experienced answer ,call an auto parts store and see if the bearings are the same.If they are, they should swap ok  One more thing to consider, the front brakes on a 1-ton are 12 inch and the ones on the 3/4-ton are 11 inch.You will need to swap the backing plates to fit the smaller drums if, IF they will fit the spindles

47-59 3/4, 1 TON w/sgl. wheels ... (cast 3683232).....p/n 3683232
47-59 1 TON w/dual wheels,
53-59 3/4 TON w/dual wheels (exc. D-D),
55-59 D-D w/dual wheels (2nd series)..
...(cast 3683818).... p/n 3683818
KNUCKLE-SPACER, Steering (with nut)
53-59 3/4, 1, 1-1/2 TON (exc. D-D, SBC, hvy. duty)...(forged 3698332)..p/n 3703563
Hubs are different but spindles are the same so it looks like your good to go with the 3/4 ton parts.

'55.2 GMC 3/4 ton
