I used '99 tahoe second row 60-40 seats in my '56--lower back than front seats so don't stick up above the window, seat bottoms flip up, backs flip forward, uneven mounting led me to use old rubber motor mounts and washers to even things our without reinventing the mounts. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 5 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 5 | I know the years are not the same, a guy just told me a durango rear seat or a mini van rear seat will fit 42 to 46, haven't tried it yet. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4 | Will late model bench seats work in a '71 C-10 with interior gas tank? | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | I see no reason why the later model seats would not fit. You may have to rework the floor mounts though.
What I have seen used on 67-72 is the middle seat from 92-99 suburbans being used. The seat back folds forward and the seat bottom flips up giving great access to the areas behind and under. Also seen these used in Task Force series. | | |
