1951 dually, one-ton flatbed model 3800

I sent my brake shoes off and got them relined but am having a hard time finding the springs and clips for the shoes.

Called Chevy Duty, they don't stock them for the one-ton. And Brake and Equipment Warehouse in MN is not sure where to find them.

Any help? THANKS

I can't see why a standard C clip of the proper size would do the job. Anyone have opinions on this?

Do you know what size clips you need? and how many?

I had the same problem with my NAPCO brakes, couldn't find springs or clips. The brake warehouse in Minneapolis couldn't help me. I tried various advertisers that specialized in old brake parts, no help either. What I finally did was go to a parts store (in my case Checker Auto Parts). I went through every brake springs/fasteners kit and matched my old parts. Then I bought the kits I needed.

thanks for the help. I'll do some research and let you know what I find.

The C-clip idea sounds like it should work. Hope to find a spring that will fit as one is already broken.

appreciate the tips.
