Ok, This could be interior or exterior so I wasn't sure where to go. I have a 46 chevy 1/2 ton and I am ready to replaced the window and door gaskets. I have the 46 resto manual from chevy but it is not vary go for 41-46 it is more for the cars than trucks. Anyway here is my question, I have never done windows/door gaskets and am not totaly sure what the glue and tape is for. Can anybody help with what and where these are used and how much I need. Also any suggetions to make the job easier would be great.

If i uderstand your ? right The tape is used for setting the front glass, but i just used a silicone glass sealer for my front window and just trimed of the exsses with a razor blade, turned out real nice. When I installed the rubber windlace I just used the metal trim to hold it in place, no glue. Iam glad I did because I had to lossen a few screws and pull the rubber out futher to get a better seal around the door

My supplier recommended the silicone over the tape and he sells the tape!
